What are your payment options?

I accept Zelle, Check and as a last resort, Venmo. Upon booking you would pay a 35% non-refundable deposit to lock in your wedding date. The remaining balance will be due at the time of your wedding.

Should we do an engagement session?

About a third to half of couples elect to shoot an engagement session. It certainly isn't required, but it is a great way to get to know each other and break the ice before your wedding. Sessions last 60-90 minutes and yield 50-100 images within 2-3 weeks of the shoot.

Do we get the image rights?

I retain copyright to my work, but all contracts include a release that allows you to do essentially whatever you want with the pictures until the sun swallows up the earth.

Are you insured?

Yes I am, and can provide the necessary documents to your venue upon their request, just let me know.

Do you do cash discounts?

As fun as it is to be handed a wad of cash and pretend I am cool, I do not accept it as a form of payment. Since I cannot pay my mortgage in cash, invest it, or do anything of substance with it outside of buying myself something I probably shouldn't, it is not a viable payment option for the survival of my family.

What if we need to reschedule?

I include a 6 month window to transfer your wedding package in your contract with no fees (availability dependent). After 6 months you would need to pay another 35% deposit to reserve a new wedding day.

Do you drone?

Weather and law permitting, my drone is one of standard cameras I pack for your wedding day and can yield some incredible images.

Do you bring backups?

Yes, a lot of what I do is about backups. Backup cameras, batteries, lenses, flashes. I use multiple memory cards to create an instant backup of your photos. I back them up in my office right after your wedding. Since 2015 I have shot ~400 weddings and completed and delivered every single one.

Do we have any say in the album?

Absolutely, your album includes up to 3 revisions of an initial layout I will send you based on your photo selects. I have never needed more revisions to get to a design couples are happy with. In addition, you can choose from various cover materials, select your cameo window cover, and what is imprinted on your cover. All books also come in a presentation box.

How do we book you?

If we haven't already, let's have a call to talk things over and make sure we have the chemistry you deserve on your wedding day. Once you are ready to book, you choose your collection and I send over a contract for your wedding. Everything is done electronically. Send me an email to jp@pivkophoto.com to set up a time for a call. My consultations tend to be Monday - Friday before 5pm or at 8:30pm. My family is very important to me, and my kids go to bed around 8:30 so I am available after that.
