Amanda, Cameron and their son Chase met me for an engagement session on a beautiful Saturday morning in the Laurelwood Aboretum in Wayne, NJ. Not only was our mission to celebrate Amanda and Cameron’s engagement, but also their beautiful family. There were a lot of things that made this session great, but a few really stood out as awesome. First, the weather was perfect. October continues to remain the best month of the year in my book. Secondly, Amanda brought some ideas for shots, and even some reference images. I love this, because it helps me get an idea of what a couple is looking for, and I enjoy trying to recreate looks while having them fit into my aesthetic. Thirdly, we had an extended conversation about eating taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwiches, which was a brilliant contribution from Cameron, and made me feel New Jersey Pride.

Amanda and Cameron also brought a cool chalk sign made by a friend with the specific goal of getting an image for their save the date. In other words, they nailed this session like two pros. Congrats again guys, can’t wait to shoot your wedding in 2016!
