Taylor and Rich were married at the Assumption Church in Morristown, NJ and then followed it up with a reception at The Morris Museum. To my great delight, they paired their cheekbones with a classic wedding look and nailed it. Black, white and gold, red lipstick and vintage cuts. Cameras were loving it!
I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session with Taylor and Rich a year before their wedding, and it was then I realized I was lucky to call them clients. Funny, in love and completely genuine people that were a dream to work with. On their wedding day they surrounded themselves with a crew worthy of their character. It was a great day of work.
The day of their wedding was a perfect fall day, and the light came out to play. In fact, there was a notable number of “light beams.” During the ceremony a ray of light hit Taylor creating an image that almost seems digitally manipulated. One of my favorite shots of 2016, and not something that happens every day. Later during the portrait session, a ray of light showed up over Taylor for several shots. It’s actually the type of lens anomaly that is not supposed to happen with my expensive gear, but I welcome “happy accidents.”
Congratulations Taylor and Rich, and thank you so much for the chance to photograph your wedding you lovely souls.
